Berlin’s Rolando Random & The Young Soul Rebels are not only so far behind the trend in terms of name that they are already right back in front: They combine the British punk snot of the late 70s with extremely danceable ska, reggae and mestizo rhythms. The fact that the gentlemen have been in the business for a long time and are having a lot of fun themselves can be seen in their likeable stage presence. Wide-legged, irreverent and with a lot of self-irony they play their way through the varied program. And then there are those choruses that always invite you to shake your fists and sing along loudly… Im in the mood for a riot, baby!

Rolando Random & The Young Soul Rebels were formed in Berlin in the summer of 2002. The 7 musicians are not unknown to many ska and punk concertgoers: They play and played with Mothers Pride, Yummy, The Pillocks, Madlocks and Blechreiz, among others. However, they have long since gained their own fan base and in the summer of 2006 even made it to the much sought-after position in the opening act of Madness. Their debut “Hidden Pleasures” was released in 2005 by moanin’ records. In 2008, the second album “Fistful of courage” was finally released on Bad Dog Records. In October 2019 the band released their first 7° single on Rec Sin. In 2021 the longplayer On Fire! is released.
